The Graduate School's Career Development Office assists current Cornell University Ph.D. and master's students who are seeking non-professorial careers. We offer confidential individual career counseling; career development workshops; in-house online job searching and print resources; and the web site has extensive links to other resources.

All graduate students are encouraged to register for Cornell CareerNet as a first step in starting a job search. (CCNet) provides a variety of web-based services offered by Cornell Career Services that allow you to:

View listings of and apply for full-time positions, internships and summer jobs.
Participate in on-campus recruiting
Contact alumni for career advice
Access a wealth of online resources

Cornell Career Services helps graduate, professional, and undergraduate students explore career options and acquire the information and skills needed to carry out an effective job search. Individual advising appointments and walk-in service for answers to quick career questions are available. A variety of programs and services is provided, including:

Careerservices.cornell.edu is the Web site that will provide you with updated information on job search basics, how to conduct effective job searches, and how to build a résumé, write cover letters, and more.
CornellTRAK (www.career.cornell.edu/cuTrak.html) an online listing used for posting jobs, student résumés and career interest profiles, and alumni mentor information specifically for Cornellians. Interfolio Credential Service (www.career.cornell.edu/credentialServices/interfolio.html) provides links and information on the service Cornell authorizes to support students in their long-term job searches
University Career Center Library is located in 103 Barnes Hall. It's a one-stop reference center for materials on job-search techniques and strategies, career information, graduate study abroad, international and domestic job bulletins, fellowships, and internships; employer directories; and corporate and nonprofit organization literature; also has Bear Access kiosks.
